SANCTIONS

Sanctions may be used independently or in combination for any single offence. Failure to complete and submit a sanction by a specific deadline will result in further escalation of the Residence Judicial Process.制裁的目的是教育学生的不当行为的后果，提供补救的罪行的受害人（ S） ，并防止其发生在未来。制裁可以单独或组合使用任何单一的罪行。故障由一个特定的期限内完成并提交一份制裁将导致住宅司法过程的进一步升级。

 

Meeting with the Residence Life Supervisor or Senior Resident Assistant – a formal meeting that a resident is expected to attend with a Residence Life Supervisor or Senior Resident Assistant to discuss unacceptable behaviour. 会议与居住生活监事，高级驻地助理 - 正式会议，一个居民有望与居住生活监事或高级驻地助理出席，讨论不可接受的行为。

 

Written Warning – a formal letter issued to a resident to document an offence relating to an incident. The letter follows a meeting with a residence representative to discuss the offence. Bond – a financial obligation for a violation of Residence Rules to help ensure that further occurrences do not happen.  This charge will be collected only if confirmation for responsibility of a further rule violation occurs. The bond will be charged against a student’s university account. Educational Sanction – a project assigned to a student in order to help them better understand the reasoning behind a residence policy, rule, or regulation. Alcohol Probation – a documented period of time whereby a resident will be required to refrain from possessing or consuming alcohol within residence. Alcohol probation is part of a behavioural contract. The formal documentation will outline consequences for failing to adhere to the conditions of the probationary period. Behavioural Contract – a formal document that requires a resident to meet specific behavioural standards based on an incident or series of incidents relating to inappropriate behaviour. The contract will outline consequences for failing to adhere to the conditions of the contract, and will often accompany other sanctions such as a fine, bond, or loss of privileges. Restitution – any damage, clean-up or replacement charges resulting from any violation of the rules, regulations and policies of Laurentian University and residences will be assessed to the individual(s) and/or guest(s). Suspension from Residence – a temporary termination of the Residence Agreement for a specific duration as a result of an incident.
