Health Care Research Proposal on HIV
A WORLD FIGHTING WITH AN IMMORTAL ENEMY, WILL OUR WIT AND WISDOM ALLOW US TO SURVIVE FOR ANOTHER MILLENIUM?
For the survey, a questionnaires with related to the HIV/AIDS healthcare study, a total of 2,100 questionnaires were emailed to random adults. Two thirds of the selected sample (1,400 adults) was very cooperative in answering the questions honestly. The other one third never had the incentive. Improved representatives and response rate was increased by incentive by reducing item nonresponse and by reaching out to more respondents.?The aim of the research proposal is therefore to bring forth my collective response and overall judgment on what I think should be done to curb the HIV/AIDS pandemic. My aim for the research is to point you forward to the future; a future which is blood transfusion.
An infectious disease is one that is caused by pathogens in the human body and is easily transmissible. The pathogens make the carrier their host and later on cause clinically evident illness. HIV is one of the infectious diseases known to man, and it has proven itself not discriminating in its infections, infecting people of all heritages and races. The AIDS virus has been statistically shown to be having an infection rate of up to 16,000 people per day, with more than 1.5 million having being killed in Africa last year alone. Recent research has also shown that a total global population of about forty million have been infected with the HIV/AIDS virus; seventy Percent living in sub-Saharan Africa. Through their everyday struggle to find a cure for this disease, scientists have come up with an everyday preventive measure of using contraceptives as a control measure. Through my research, I plan to come up with a new control measure I think would help curb the global widespread of the virus. Indeed all hope is not lost on stopping the spread of the disease and man can finally win this war. HIV/AIDS; the fight for the millennia.#p#分页标题#e#
The world as it has come to be is facing a serious menace, a menace that for the past twenty years or so, humans have not yet been able to deal with. The world is indeed falling to its knees each passing day trying to find a cure and an overall solution for the HIV virus. Ever since the virus came to be known to humans, to a single cure has been made even with the advanced technology man has to his hands. More so, not an equally cheap cost effective preventive measure has been introduced. HIV is a viral disease that is transferred through exchange of bodily fluids from an infected person to one who is not infected. The virus is mostly transferred through contact and exchange of blood and other fluids such as semen.
This research is important in trying to come up with new methods of winning this battle. I personally think that the world as a global society would easily solve this vice by finding a way of enabling blood transfusion from those without the virus to those with the virus. This blood transfusion would be a better method to dealing with the HIV considering that the method has also been successful in dealing with other diseases such as leukaemia. Such a measure would not only be preventive but also curative in the long run. All over the past years, scientists and researchers have been struggling with issues such as; can the disease be prevented? Is the disease communicable through other means such as kissing and oral sex?? My research proposal of the use of blood transfusion would make sure that serious and several tests are done on the blood of the donor before the transfusion is done to make sure that the blood is clean and free from the virus. Blood donations would be made free of charge to reduce the overall cost and also third world countries would benefit more if technological donations were made to them to make the accessibility to the services faster.? If there is really a war out there about HIV/AIDS, I do believe we can win it triumphantly.
