ABSTRACT
With the development of economic globalization, competition has become the main environment that restaurants have to survive in. The restaurant industry in New Zealand also appeared to serious competition which could be characterized as oversupply, the reduction of industry profit. And meanwhile, as a result of the spread of the United States’ sub-loan crisis began in 2007, the whole world has to be confronted with the arrival of the global financial crisis. The world economy is in decline to varying degrees. This is a heavy blow to the domestic hotel industry which depends on the development of tourism in part. So the situation must be more severe. One the other hand, as the development of social economy and the improvement of people’s standard of living, people’s consumer conception of diet has changed step by step that they demand higher brand quality, digit feature, sanitation, security, nutrition, healthiness and shortcut. From discussing to practice, some notion has been identified. Under such circumstances,how to use a scientific and reasonable management mode to guarantee continuous self-improvement, improving economic efficiency as well as an invincible position in the increasingly fierce competition?
The thesis analyzes the management of Lone Star Café & Bar and focus on the all the aspects and actual approach. After the analysis, contrast and summarize, this thesis found that there are still something to perfect on human resource management, market management, strategy management and financial management in Lone Star. First,the thesis introduced the Lone Star general information and its basic circs of inside and outside circumstance. Then we give a summary of some correlative literatures about the management. After the deep analysis of situation of management of Lone Star Cafe & Bar Hamilton, the thesis pointed out the inadequacies at the same time and tried to give some suggestions. The results of this thesis are references for Lone Star and other medium-sized restaurants.
