In other words, you can choose your favourite “beef” or “gripe” or your favourite “rave” or whatever, about the above aspects as to how they relate to the IT industry. Any topic is fair game – what your paper must do though is argue the point or points according to the aspects listed above. You may use the material from class as reference material but it is expected you will also use other material you have researched on the Internet. If you do not use the class material directly, then you should still follow the themes or issues as outlined in the class material.If you argue that something, for example, the Copyright (Infringing File Sharing) Amendment Act 2011 is wrong, your work must argue why it is wrong – and remain within the confines of the law as it exists. In other words, you achieve nothing by advocating anarchy or chaos – that doesn’t change anything; it only leads to frustration and unrest. But you can achieve much, and many people have,throughout the history of time, by arguing for change – with sound reasons why the change should occur.
The paper is to be approximately 2,000 words.
