尽管妈妈在银行业工作超过20年，但我一直对经济金融毫无兴趣。然而，一切从2010年我独自来香港读书开始发生变化。来港后面临的第一个问题就是租房子。面对比内地高两三倍的物价，我开始对产品价格变得敏感，逐渐留意起何处房价高，何处房价低，一段时间内房价是一波三折还是一路攀升，何种产品会在何时促销。很快，我发现关注房价看经济新闻原来并不是想象中那么的枯燥。当我重读经济学原理时，突然茅塞顿开，曾经枯燥的理论都有了现实的对应。这两年多的生活和工作经历，使我越发感受经济学的无处不在。企业决策、生意的拓展，甚至个人租房都受到市场供需和政府政策的影响，这更激发了我对经济学专业学习的兴趣。

 

我相信我的教育背景、工作经历和个人能力可以证明我可以符合这个项目的要求。我在大学接受过专业的微积分、社会统计学和统计软件的训练，并取得排名10%的优异成绩；通过专业课如经济社会学和社会心理学的学习，我对经济学理论也有所涉及和了解；社会调查方法的训练培养了我实证主义的思维方式；而在企业传播专业一年的学习，使我在企业运营和产品营销方面有了更多的实践。从事猎头工作后，我专注于零售业和奢侈品行业的职位招聘。我逐渐接触到不同类型的公司，通过阅读财务年报和行业研究报告等了解到诸如经营产品，公司架构，主要市场，销售渠道和运营，物流状况，甚至公司财务状况和发展战略等信息。我负责和参与招聘的职位包括中国区董事总经理，亚太区市场经理，零售运营总管，物流经理，和采购经理等，在对候选人进行职位评定的过程中，我不仅要熟悉他们的工作职责，也对他们公司的架构，运营方式，发展策略有所认识。我了解到很多从事采购跟单的职位越来越少。因为随着中国地区劳动力价值的提高，跨国公司将目光转向了劳动力仍然低廉的东南亚地区，而以南中国为采购基地的buying office为在企业的内部竞争中取得一席之地，也不得不另辟蹊径，比如裁员或发展南中国擅长加工的产品。而由于美国和欧洲萧条的经济形势，很多贸易公司因为接不到美国和欧洲的订单，不得不控制成本削减人手，甚至关门大吉，这进一步导致香港地区采购职位数量的减少。受经济影响而造成的人力资源市场的变化，也迫使我们拓展新的产品，即不再专注采购职位的招聘，转而从事其他职位的招聘服务。再比如，很多知名品牌将旗下的服饰、配件、鞋子分别卖给了不同的拥有者或授权经营者，在只付出较少的资金情况下，他们可以通过licensing和franchising的方式取得较大的收益。这其中涉及到产品定位，品牌形象，产品的本地化等，也成为我所感兴趣的方向。#p#分页标题#e#

 

香港是个经济金融发达的市场经济社会，作为自由港，香港经济受到世界形势的影响，这为学习经济学，研究企业发展提供了成熟的环境。而香港大学的MEcon Program高质量的教学和丰富的课程选择，一定可以满足我对经济学知识的追求，也会为我开拓更广阔的视野。我希望通过这个项目，可以掌握并利用经济学的视角和方法，提高自己分析问题，解决的问题的能力。对企业决策的制定和企业运营有更清晰的认识，对未来发展提供有效的分析和预测，也希望我可以借此步入企业策略分析或者管理咨询行业。

 

Although my mother has worked in the banking industry for more than 20 years works, I was not interested in the economic and financial. Since I was alone to study in Hong Kong in 2010, however, everything began to change. After coming to Hong Kong, the first question is to rent an apartment. To the price that is two to three times than the inland, I started to become sensitive to product prices and gradually to notice where the housing price is high and where is low even the house price has ups and downs in a period of time or promoted all the way. Also, what kind of product will be when marketing. Soon, I found that it was not so boring to focus on house prices and see economic news originally. When did reread principles of economics, I was suddenly enlightened and aware of a boring theories before was based on the realities. With the life and work experience for more than two years, I felt that economics was everywhere, that is, the decision-making and business development in enterprises and even renting a house individually were influenced by the market supply and demand and government policy. It inspired me to learn the economics professional.

 

I believe that my education background, work experience and personal ability can prove that I can conform to the requirements of the project. Firstly, I received the trainings such as the professional calculus, social statistics and statistical software and more others in college. Also, my performance achieved first 10%. Secondly, I was involved in some economic theories with the professional courses such as economic sociology and social psychology. Finally, the training of social investigation methods developed my positivism thinking. In a word, I have more practice in enterprise operation and product marketing with studying the enterprise communication professional for one year. After engaged in headhunting work, I focused on position recruitments about retail and luxury industry. And I gradually came into contact with different types’ companies and learnt about much information such as products, the company structure, the main market, sales channels and operation, logistics status and even the financial status and development strategy by reading the financial reports and industry research reports. In the recruitment process, I am responsible for China managing director, Asia Pacific market manager, retail operation manager, logistics manager, and purchasing manager, etc. In the candidates’ position evaluation process, I could be not only familiar with their job responsibilities, but also understand their company's structures, operations and development strategies. Also, I learnt about that the positions about purchase documentary were less and less. With the improvement of the value of labor in China, multinational companies are turning to Southeast Asia where the labor is still cheap. At the same time, buying office with the south of China as the sourcing base had to look for other ways to get a competitive place such as layoffs or developing its expert in products. And because of the United States and Europe sluggish economy, a lot of trading companies cannot get the United States and Europe's orders so as to control costs and reduce the number of staffs even go bankrupt, which further led to the reduction of the number of purchasing position in Hong Kong. Changes of the human resources market caused by economy made us force on developing new products but not procurement vacancies to switch to other vacancies. In addition, its clothing, accessories, shoes of a lot of well-known brands were sold to different owners and authorized operators with less money in which they could achieve greater revenue through licensing and franchising. Among these, I am interested in product positioning, brand images, product localization.
