TITLE: An analysis of the role of music education in children's holistic development

" Music as a form of aesthetic education, it is with the synchronous development of children, because children like music can be seen as the child's nature. Children do activities with the variety of music, they will act very positive, cheerful, lively and happy, they will get edify and development of both body and mind.

I propose to choose TWO kinder garden and one college which has early childhood education department in New Zealand. The first school, we choose 38 teachers. We choose 132 students who are going to be the early childhood education teachers in the college. The third kinder garden, we choose 32 teachers as the participants of the experiment.
I require every to finish the questionnaires to validate the research, I permit several questionnaires is invalidated, and I will not consider those small number invalidated questionnaires.

Firstly, I will investigate the basic information of the two kinder gardens,
Secondly, I will investigate the basic information of those participants that I choose for the experiment. For example, how many female teachers, how many male teachers, and their age.
Third, I will examine the instrument and books that they used to the teach the children music.
Finally, I will examine the children’s idea and their mental status through interview.

Other methods • If utilizing other methodology, what procedures are involved?
For this research the method to collect data will be questionnaires and interviews. Questionnaires is for teachers, and interviews is for children. These questionnaires will offer both qualitative and quantitative information, the questionnaires contains both multiple-choice question as well as open question. The multiple choice question is for the basic information and the open questions is for the personal opinion of the teachers on the influence of music.

• How will you analyse the data that you collect from your participants (for example, for quantitative data graphs, tables and percentages, and for qualitative data themes, categories and examples to illustrate the results)?
The data consists of both quantitative and qualitative analysis. The multiple choice questions will offer the basic information of the children and teachers age and gender, as well as the instruments and books that the teachers use to teach music. The open questions will offer the perspectives of the teachers .
In analysing the open questions’ answers of the teachers perspectives on music as a tool of learning, and will offer an means of reviewing to what extent teachers view music on children’s development.
These analyses will be expressed as table as readers can see it clearly.
