学年安排
大体说来，英国一学年分为三个学期，期间有圣诞节和复活节两大假期，暑假颇长，从七月下旬到九月上旬。每个学期长十周到十四周——通常中小学和延续教育学院的学期较长，而大学的学期较短。在秋季，通常在学期过半时有十天左右的假期。
